Roulette is a numbered-wheel game in which players choose individual numbers or predefined number groups before the outcome is determined. The Shuffle.us original Roulette interface visibly includes numbers 0–36, dozens, low/high ranges and even/odd selections. Each selection covers a different share of the numbered outcomes and has its own game-specific payout.
Understand the roulette layout first
A single-number selection covers one numbered result, while outside selections cover larger groups such as 1–18, 19–36, odd or even. A dozen covers twelve numbers. Check the game layout and paytable rather than assuming all roulette versions have the same wheel or return structure.

| Selection | Illustrative coverage on a 0–36 wheel | Why it differs |
|---|---|---|
| Single number | 1 of 37 numbers | Narrow outcome set |
| First dozen (1–12) | 12 of 37 numbers | A 12-number grouping |
| Even | 18 of 37 numbers | Zero is not even |
| Low (1–18) | 18 of 37 numbers | Zero is not in the low group |
Worked example: probability versus payout
In an idealized, unbiased wheel with exactly 37 outcomes, a single numbered selection has a theoretical hit frequency of 1/37 (about 2.70%); an even-number selection covers 18/37 (about 48.65%). These are mathematical examples, not odds guaranteed by Shuffle.us or a prediction of an individual round. Payout and game-specific fairness information must be read in the interface.
Roulette variants are not identical
The original roulette game is not automatically interchangeable with provider-run or live-dealer roulette. Wheel layouts, bet options and interfaces can differ. Shuffle.us also lists a roulette category, so readers should inspect the rules of the specific title they choose.

Before choosing a number group
Check whether the wheel includes a single zero or any other special result, which bets are available and how returns are displayed. A larger covered set can be hit more often but does not imply guaranteed profit. Also check operator residency/location eligibility and currency-mode restrictions.

Worked probability check: roulette outcomes are not interchangeable
For a hypothetical single-zero wheel with 37 equally likely numbered positions, selecting exactly one number corresponds to 1/37 possible outcomes (approximately 2.70%); selecting 12 distinct numbers corresponds to 12/37 (approximately 32.43%). Those numbers describe a model, not a guaranteed return or independently verified odds for every roulette title. A different wheel layout changes the denominator, and payout terms must be consulted separately.
| Illustrative choice | Favourable positions | Model probability |
|---|---|---|
| One exact number | 1 of 37 | 2.70% |
| One dozen | 12 of 37 | 32.43% |
| One of 18 numbered positions | 18 of 37 | 48.65% |
The Shuffle.us original roulette interface displays numbered selections from 0 through 36 and group labels including dozens, odd/even and halves. Confirm the interface and current game rules rather than applying these examples to other variants automatically.
